There are six Bluewater Tackle World Stores in Western Australia, five of which are in the Perth metropolitan area. They are located in the Perth CBD, Scarborough, Mindarie, Morley and Melville. The Bluewater Tackle World store in the north is located at Exmouth, near the Ningaloo Reef.

Exmouth is increasingly becoming known as the gamefishing capital of Western Australia. It has also become a mecca for fly fishing anglers. Common species such as bream, flathead, norwest snapper, queenfish, trevally, dart, cod and northern salmon can also be caught regularly from the shore. Although the town is only small with a population of around 2500 people, the fishing is big, with over thirty gamefish species on offer including six species of billfish. Not to mention succulent table fish such as coral trout, red emperor and yellowfin tuna to name a few. Owners Matt Gates and Jeni Lerch are regular journalists for various fishing magazines and are involved in many community programs to help educate people about fishing. Matt Gates is highly known for his quality custom rod building. If you’re after a heavy duty spin rod to tackle the giant trevally, or personalised trolling rod for marlin, or perhaps need a fine barramundi outfit to suit the northern region, Matt can create you one of his masterpieces.

Our Bluewater Tackle World Exmouth store is packed with everything you could possibly need for the fishing around Exmouth. Staff members Ben, Ant and Adrian are avid anglers that regularly fish from the shore and boats. They are more than happy to give you that helpful advice, no matter what you are chasing. We also stock a large range of snorkelling gear, WA Bait, boating accessories, clothing and spearfishing equipment from Pelaj and Rob Allen. If we don’t have what you need, we can usually get it overnight. Our prices are the same as Perth and our local advice is bounded by over twenty years experience combined from all the crew.
