There are five Bluewater Tackle World Stores in Western Australia, four of which are in the Perth metropolitan area. They are located in Scarborough, Mindarie, Morley and Melville. The Bluewater Tackle World store in the north is located at Exmouth, near the Ningaloo Reef.
All stores’ staff are focused on helping anglers get the most enjoyment out of their fishing and watersports. Our enthusiastic staff are passionate about their recreational fishing and outdoor activities.
Bluewater has a history that dates back to 1932, and has always been West Australian owned. Proprietor Hal Harvey’s grandfather started the first store, in the same building as Scarborough still operates out of. Ours is the longest-established tackle business in mainland Australia, and is probably the oldest tackle business in the world that has always been in the same family.
Along the way Bluewater Tackle World grew into being Australia’s major specialist tackle outlets. We distribute many leading edge products such as Duel Reels from Italy, Tiburon products from USA, Calstar rods and blanks, Lamiglas rods and blanks, Stuart rod building products, Black Jack outriggers, poppers and stick baits, GT Max rod belts and handle knobs, DUO from Japan, Fishworks products, Tibor fly reels from USA, PlayAction rod belts and Stripteaser teasers.
Bluewater Tackle World are the West Australian distributors for Sage rods, reels and fly lines, and carry many other specialist products such as Miya Epoch, Jigging Master, Pro Gear, Daiwa Saltiga, G. Loomis, Maui Jim, Pelaj, Rob Allen, Van Staal, Accurate, Owner, YGK, Avet, Black Bart and Pakula. We are the source for many hard-to-get tackle items – definitely not your average tackle stores!
We’d love you to visit any of our stores. Scarborough is the oldest. Morley is the closest to Perth Airport. Melville is the biggest. Mindarie is the newest. Exmouth has the best fishing (and the best weather, outside of cyclone season)
